本作は、2020年10/31、新宿ルミネゼロで行った 66分の無観客公演を収めた作品です。
仕立て屋のサーカスの公演は、これまで「 旅 」「 どこか遠くへの移動 」というテーマを多く扱ってきました。
しかし本作でテーマとしたのは「 家 」「 日々の営み 」です。
家の中で、台所で … 日常生活で行われる一つひとつの作業を、丁寧に見つめ直していきました。
監督・編集はドキュメンタリー映画「 太陽の塔 」や長編劇場映画「 生きてるだけで、愛。」など手がけた映画監督・関根光才。
仕立て屋のサーカスと関根の共同作業により、通常の公演では見ることのできない出演者の細かな表情や作業をする手元、
お互いのアイコンタクトや息遣いまでもが伝わる、特別な作品に仕上がりました。
通常公演が難しい中でも集まることのできた喜びと、
表現を続けていくという覚悟とエネルギーがほとばしる66分を、是非お楽しみください。
The premier of a feature concert film by Circo de Sastre titled, Cut the Fish
Our first concert film, Cut the Fish, will be available by on demand streaming from Monday December 28.
This is our 66-minute performance, filmed without an audience at Shinjuku Lumine 0 on October 31, 2020.
While our performances in the past always focused on a journey, this work’s theme is daily life.
We are looking closely at each task performed in our daily lives at home, in the kitchen etc.
It is directed and edited by Kosai Sekine, an up and coming film director noted for his films,
Taiyo no Toh and Ikiterudakede, Ai.
This collaboration between Sekine and Circus of a Tailor produced a special work showing each performer’s subtle facial expressions and hand movements, the eye contact between each other and even their breath.
Enjoy the energetic 66 minutes full of joy and determination. Joy of getting together to perform despite the difficulties of this year and the determination that whatever happens we continue to express ourselves.
